Alfred Gorden "Alamazoo" Jennings (November 30, 1850 – November 2, 1894) was an American Major League Baseball player who played in one Major League game, as catcher, for the Milwaukee Grays on August 15, 1878.[1]
In that one game he played, he did not have a hit in two at bats, but did receive one base on balls. As catcher, he did have one assist, and two putouts, but he also was charged with 4 errors, and 10 passed balls.[1] The 10 passed balls was the record until Alex Gardner had 12 in 1884. Milwaukee lost the game to Cincinnati 13-2.[2]
Born in Newport, Kentucky, Jennings died in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 43, and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky.[1]
